Last night, I saw Barbie starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling. I was initially hesitant, but my wonderful girlfriend insisted we go (and that I be excited about it). The flick pleasantly surprised me.

Barbie is topical, silly, and sometimes serious, with an excellent cast. I laughed often. (I even wept and stifled sobbing aloud as I sat in the packed theater.) Only one scene made me think, “This bit has dragged on for about five minutes too long.”
