On Saturday, I went to a Celebration of Life for my Aunt Suki. I shared laughs and tears with a select group of her closest family and friends. Her children, my cousins, offered heartwarming stories and memories. The love that filled the room was palpable.

Aunt Suki adored traveling across the globe and spent time in the mountains of China, Afghanistan, and other areas hostile to democracy. She seemed fearless, a badass woman unafraid of the unknown. I admire her so much and regret not telling her how fortunate I am for knowing her.

I miss and love you, Aunt Suki. Faith and I will take superb care of Jezabelle Cat.
