I am fortunate to have a window in my office. The view of Haddon Avenue, a strip mall, and mixed-use buildings is not extravagant, but it is better than the four walls of a cubicle. And today, I saw a lightning bolt strike something about 200 yards away.

I looked out my window and noticed the sky had become darker. There was a bright flash, and a streak of light from the sky landed behind a building nearby. Sparks leaped into the air and thundered boomed. Then, the electricity in my building shut off.

Nature rocks.
