All across the country, locally and nationally elected lawmakers, as well as courts, continue to grapple with the issue of the legality of gay marriage.  I’ve thought about this situation, and I arrive at one question  – What the hell difference does it make if we recognize the marriage of two people of the same sex?  Look, Ned or Jeb or Billy Bob, place your Bible back onto the nightstand, take a deep breath, and return to worrying about whether Uncle Sam is going to take your musket.

The United States has wasted far too much time and too many valuable resources on such a non-issue.  The government does not tell people which God they should worship and does not tell parents how to raise their children.  Why in the sam hell does it matter if Steve marries Jane or Joe?  Get over it.
