In today’s reminiscence, I look back to my late teens and early twenties, also known as the good ol’ days.

Hearing John Denver’s Take Me Home Country Roads reminds me of the Ocean Drive bar in Sea Isle City, New Jersey. I’m standing at the bar and ordering a Bud Heavy and a shot from the bartender nicknamed “Hollywood” as the cover band croons the classic tune about West Virginia.

Finding Me by Vertical Horizon takes me to the Abercrombie & Fitch store at Penn State. I am building displays or folding clothes as the other “brand reps” and I prepare the store for its Grand Opening.

You might not know that my resume is replete with retail jobs — Abercrombie & Fitch, Urban Outfitters, and Hollister Co. So, if my ghostwriting/law gig goes the tubes, I should not have an issue scoring work at the Gap.
